I got an offer to work in NY with about 69000k per ann salary. My office will be at 345 Park Avenue. I am planning to live in NJ. I am married but move alone initialy. I am moving from Delhi on L1 visa. After tax and other deductions, how many money i can take home per month? Where can I live in NJ and what will be commute time?
Conservative estimate, $4140 after taxes and other deductions actual take home pay. There is alot of NJ you could live in, especially by yourself, on that salary, so you'd need to be a bit more specific about what you'd like before anyone could answer
Mishra-ji,
Congratulations on the new job. You are getting a very good paying job and will be taking a good amount of money home. The question is whether you want to live alone or share with someone. In your case, the best place to live would be Jersey City around Journal Square. You will be close to public transportation & the Indian market. Rent there will run you around $950/month & up for decent 1 bedroom apt. & if you share then you will be paying half of that at least. Go to Craigslist.com and in the New Jersey section type in Journal Square apartment. You should see a lot of listings for apts. Best wishes.
