Hello. My partner and I are relocating to the NYC area from Houston, TX. We are a young couple in our late 20s/early 30s. He'll be working in New Rochelle and I will be working in Hoboken. I'm looking for suggestions of where to look for apartments that would be central for us to both commute to work either via car or public transportation within 45 minutes or less for both that is in the $1,200 or less range. Price is more important to us that being close to NYC. Any help would be kindly appreciated. Thanks!
the only way to make it to New Rochelle from pretty much anywhere in NJ in that kind of time is to drive. Somewhere in the Garfield/Lodi/Hasbrouck Heights/Hackensack general area where you can take NJT train to Hoboken and he can get to the GW bridge quickly might work. Or maybe Ft. Lee or Cliffside Park.
