I'm narrowing down my home search and Berkley Heights is one of the top towns on our list. I'm trying to find commuting options and time frames. Are there any direct trains to Hoboken? Those that commute to NYC, can you give me an idea of how long it takes from door to desk if you work in midtown and/or downtown. If anyone drives to Jersey City, how long does it take? Any info/advise would be great!
Most of the trains at BH during the morning rush offer a one-seat ride to Hoboken. Two trains offer a one-seat ride to NY Penn instead of Hoboken.
The drive to JC should be less than 1 hour, but it depends on your departure time and route (Turnpike or US 1-9). As you know, I-78 goes right through BH, so access is easy.
I commute to both JC (exchange place) and NYC (west 50s). It usually takes 1.5 hours minimal to NYC. To JC about 1.25 by train. I don't drive to JC. Pruebas is spot on about the train schedule.
