This is the game that the Christie administration has been playing for several years. The longer that they can hold onto your money, the longer they can try to support the financial house of cards that he has created. This type of delay has even taken place with things like Disability payments. A friend of mine was disabled a couple of years ago, following surgery, and it took about 2 1/2 months before he finally received his payment.
Somebody has to pay the big bill for our esteemed governor's gallivanting around the country in search of his next gig, and "somebody" is...you, me, and all of the other taxpayers who are the real losers: http://www.njspotlight.com/stories/1...-confidential/#
So, don't be too surprised if it takes at least a month to receive your refund.

i want to be able to at least know that they've received the filing which was verified by my accountant, but at least there should be some kind of notification that they're working on them smh

i got notification of the acceptance of my NJ return the day after I filed. No sign of refund (it's been about 2 weeks?).

I get that you hate Christie, but you are delusional if you think the governor is somehow delaying payments of tax refunds or disability benefits.
On topic: I filed on 1/27 and got direct deposit from NJ on 2/3. Have not gotten my federal back yet. I think it's largely luck of the draw
Doesn't being a "moderator" require that one be...moderate?
Don't the TOS of this site state, "no personal attacks"?
Your decidedly partisan nature has been very obvious on many occasions, and I believe that referring to a forum member as "delusional" could be interpreted as a personal attack.
Are personal attacks and a lack of moderate commentary appropriate for a "moderator"?
if you accountant cant verify that your return been submitted, that's not a problem with a sate, but rather with your accountants.
CPA's in NJ do not deserve the "P" part. When I need services like that I get a NYC lawyer.
You get a notification in a day or two after filing. Refunds take some time. Depends on the amount of refunds being processed. technology changes fro year to year, but 1.5 month to get a refund (state or federal) that's not unreasonable.
Contact your "accountant' and aske em why they did not submit your tax return yet !
P.S.
accountants are disgusting paper pushers !
