My fiance may be getting a job in Clinton, NJ here soon. We are looking for a nice little 2bd 1bth (2bth if possible) apartment. We are willing to be 30-45min away from Clinton. It is preferred to be on the opposite side of NYC as it would be less expensive...of course. Where can we get something decent or better for like $1,000 a month or so? Any ideas?
There are some available. Generally, in this part of the State, the Landlord pays the realtor fee. What do you have to lose? I would screen my clients before showing them anything.

I'm confused.

Right in Clinton. Also, look at High Bridge, Lebanon, Glen Gardner, Hampton, Califon, Flemington, and Annandale.
Everything right in the area will have rentals in that range. Good luck
It is not going to be easy find something for $1000 but I think you should be able to find something that would work. You might have to go up a little to get something you really like There are listings in craigslist that will give you an idea
here are a few in the area you are looking
2 bedroom apartment + utilities in (South Bound Brook) (broken link)
3fl, everything is close. (broken link)
House for Rent (broken link)
Your post didn't answer his question. Seemed rather pointless to me, and also didn't seem to make any sense in the context.
My apologies for trying to jack the thread. The point is clear...A Realtor can show you what's available in these areas at no charge to you. We also have access to the properties and can probably save you a lot of time.
One thing they would ask you to do is have them run your credit, so they are not wasting their time. I lived in the Hunterdon area and know the are intimatley, and I still show properties there. Moderator cut: no soliciting

You should register yourself with city-data as a realtor if thats the case.
And to Frook, before working with an agent, drive around these towns in the area. You may be surprised to find a large number find renters just by putting a sign in their window.
