How much of the state's budget will Murphy allow for Sanctuary State federal lawsuits?

CAN NEW JERSEY VOTERS AFFORD IT? It won't be coming out of Murphy's pocket!

It will hurt our inner cities the most. They don't get enough now already. The schools are HELL.

Default MOney is not the problem for NJ schools

I don't know where the money will come from for federal lawsuits, if the feds decide it would be a good use of their time to sue states, but inner city schools getting more money is not going to solve the low test scores and discipline problems in the inner city.

Kansas City is an example:

But despite spending $1.6 billion in 10 years, the Kansas City Municipal School District has a greater percentage of minority students (77%) than before the plan started; the black-white test score gap hasn't changed at all and dropout rates are more than 55% and rising. "They had as much money as any school district will ever get," says Harvard sociologist Gary Orfield, who directed a study of the district. "It didn't do very much."

Murphy's opponent is also pretty vague as to where she is going to get the money to do the things she wants to do too. She is also vague about her lack of opposition to ANYTHING Christie did.

They both concern me, but I think that Murphy is the better deal. We had a Republican in office for 8 years, my taxes went up, the pensions still remain unfunded, the rich got richer - I don't think it was a good experience.

Sancuarity just allows for more drugs, raises costs for education and takes away lower income jobs for the residents already here. Enjoy!! Keep the lower class low so there's a base.. the Democrat way!

I'd rather drink bleach than vote for Phil Murphy or any NJ democratic politician for that matter.

Are you f****ing serious?

The Abbott school districts spend more per student than I pay in in-state tuition for my son's university costs, lol.

Camden spends 30K per head last I read a year or so ago.

Wonder what the status is of the 100 mill that zuckerberg gave Newark edu ??????

100 mill spread over 26 sq miles of newark.... doesn't go far in NJ's attempt to drown schools in taxpayer cash for no return.

Then there are the pension funds murph will have to deal with.

Perhaps the state can share the revenue from tickies and red light cameras with the munis. and raisng the gas tax will help . A tax on firearms, a tax on ammunition. Raise tuition so illegals can get a break as residents.

MJ sales will cure all NJ's ills? Muck with the central nervous system and higher property tax won't hurt so much. Guess the smoking ban will have to be lifted.

Murph pays 200K in yearly property tax according to wiki. Hard to imagine murph can realate to the struggling taxpaying peons.

Welcome to deblasio's...ooops! murphies version of a socialist utopia. Plenty of other people's money to spend.

Becoming a "sanctuary state" won't hurt the Abbott schools by costing them money. It'll hurt them by encouraging more non-English-speaking poor people to enroll.

It will hurt the great majority non-Abbott school's taxpayers. Of course everyone knows they're all rich.
