Hello,

I am looking to move to Hillsborough and know nothing about mass transit in NJ. Any thoughts on the best way to commute from Hillsborough to NYC?

Would driving to Kendall Park and taking the bus be a realistic option?

Thanks
Brad

Your best bet would be New Brunswick for a direct route or Raritan is not far and an easy ride from Hillsborough. Visit the NJ State Website: State of New Jersey for more info on the NJ Transit lines and commute times. Good luck!

Hillsborough to NYC would be a terribly long grind of a commute, certainly approaching 2 hours. I don't think it's worth it.

One of the reasons you get more for your money in Hillsborough is that of all the Somerset county towns Hillsborough is the most difficult to commute from. Only one major road in or out, Rt 206 which can be troublesome. If you work close to HB no problem but if you have to commute you are in for a longer ride.
