On Friday night, Taylor McFadden, 18, Tatum Bohanon, 19, and Alexandra DeRusso, 19, visited the Deptford Mall in New Jersey to buy Christmas gifts and get their eyebrows threaded. After leaving the mall at 8 p.m., McFadden sat in the driver’s seat of her car while Bohanon and DeRusso smoked a cigarette outside in the parking lot.
A white Pontiac carrying two women and two men stopped behind them. “They had their turn signal on like they were waiting for us to leave the parking space,” McFadden tells Yahoo Lifestyle. “Allie signaled to them that we were staying so they took another parking spot......”

This is ridiculous. I HATE parking lots especially in NJ!! These are the reasons why malls are closing down and people are shopping online! No matter where you go (NJ or anywhere), people think they have to park close to everything and they will fight you over a parking spot. Here in NJ, I HATE it when people drive in parking lots and they stall for no reason. My next door neighbor is a dirt-rich woman and she verbally fought someone over a parking spot at her workplace once. It's ridiculous how people over their stupid parking spots. People NEED the exercise and they just don't want to walk a hundred feet away to a store. I hate going out to highly populated stores. I always have to park far from everywhere and I always have to park with the head out.
Years ago I shopped at that mall. It was always very nice. Good area in general. But it was my understanding even back then many of the customers were coming out of south Philly. I was never there when it was dark..

Yes totally the reason malls are going out of business. Some smart people should probably open a mall with no parking lots.

If I open a mall, I would build a parking lot with no spots close to the mall except for a row of handicap spots that corner towards the building. Everyone else must LEARN how to walk 200 feet away from their car.

Wouldn’t everyone fight over the 200 foot spots? The can’t all be 200.
