I have been collecting unemployment since Oct of 2019.
I got laid off but I still had a per Diem job working a few hours a week. I was able to collect partial UE benefits depending on how many hours I worked.
I recently accepted a FT job & worked there for two weeks. I reported my hours/wages earned to UE for the first week. It was more than my weekly benefit so I didn’t receive any payment. However I said no to the question if you are working FT because I had a bad feeling about this job n the short time I’ve been there. Some unethical issues that makes me uncomfortable working there.
I want to ask my Employer to change my status from FT to perdiem. If they agree I will have two per Diem jobs vs FT job.
Will I be able to keep my old claim open if I get them to reduce my hours to less than 30 per week?

I am a taxpayer as well & have been so for decades. The government took money from my paycheck each pay period in the unfortunate event that I might find myself unemployed.
I didn’t come here to be judged

You can't claim unemployment if you voluntarily reduce work hours.
