Does anyone besides me feel like we're heading towards 1938 Berlin?

ALBANY - New York and New Jersey will limit private gatherings to no more than 10 people, a move aimed at stopping large get-togethers particularly during Thanksgiving to prevent further spread of coronavirus.

So let's see the data which shows 10 is safer than 11 people. otherwise it is politicians practicing medicine w/o a license.

Government hopes that the little children indoctrinated in the portals of social justice, formerly called schools, will rat out their parents.

thanksgiving is on the, 'we have to rewrite our history" elimination list.

Who will make sure cuomo and murphy obey that rule????

Cuomo has to be thankful he wasn't forced out of office for upping the covid kill in NYC.

Murphy is thankful for Cuomo being a lightning rod protecting Murph from the same fatal goof committed by cuomo.

It's probably the same data that shows 10 is safer than 10,000.

Yup!
And, here is one of the Brown Shirt propagandists who is trying to take us there:

January 20th can't come soon enough, so that this hack can be replaced with someone who actually has expertise in Infectious Diseases.

Yes, if there was NOT a pandemic happening (although I believe it is being over exaggerated) then Murphy's indoor gathering restrictions do seem similar to the beginning of Nazi Germany. But, the way our Governor sees it....he is just copying what all the other Democrat Governors are doing like a good little sheep. Will he start sending people to concentration camps or forcing a vaccine into everyone against their will? Absolutely not. Will he keep restrictions in place well after a vaccine gets distributed and available to much of the public, absolutely not! Will there be a way to enforce Thanksgiving gathering limits? Not really, unless you have radical liberal nasty nosy neighbors. The only way this would be enforced is if your neighbor rats you out and contacts the police.

This isn't enforceable. What's the point.

Murphy is probably hoping people would call the police.

I am surprised he doesn't have a hotline to report people.

The point is not that it is enforceable but that some people will hear and use common sense. Everything isn't always about whether you get caught or not. Sometimes it's about doing the right thing. Some will, some won't. Nobody's going to get arrested, but some people will die as a result of a big Thanksgiving gathering. Some people will likely dodge a bullet because they didn't have a big gathering. No one will really ever know if they did or they didn't, though.

Let's remember that the very first people to die of COVID in NJ were members of a large family who gathered for dinner together and one of their guests.

Thank you. It's nice to know someone on here as common sense.

In regards to the Berlin 1938 comment - let me give you a little history lesson about what happened in Germany in 1938.

-The "Night of Broken Glass" begins as Nazi activists and sympathizers loot and burn Jewish businesses (the all night affair sees 7,500 Jewish businesses destroyed, 267 synagogues burned, 91 Jews killed, and at least 25,000 Jewish men arrested).

-Some 17,000 Polish Jews are arrested by Nazis and deported to Poland, which refuses them entry and leaves them stranded on the border of the two countries.

-The German government expels 12,000 Polish Jews living in Germany; the Polish government accepts 4,000 and refuses admittance to the remaining 8,000, who are forced to live in the no-man's land on the German-Polish frontier.

YOU'RE BEING ASKED TO LIMIT GATHERINGS TO 10 PEOPLE AND WEAR A MASK. GET A GRIP.

Why would they have to "enforce" it? It's not a "do not litter" sign. No, it's more like one of these:

Don't pet the crocodiles.
Don't Touch the Hot Oven.
Don't Jump without your parachute.
Don't Drink Gasoline.
Don't Stick your Finger in the Light Socket.

And so on. Anyone with any brains does not need enforcement - they just needed the sign.

Everyone else? Look around. Despite all your complaining - NOTHING has changed - and the case could be made that you are responsible for ALL of it.
