Theres like 86 towns that meet those metrics. What type of town are you looking for specifically? Looking to buy or rent? Whats your ethnicity? Budget? Age?

Are you open to roomates? Do you prefer to live in a town with lots of bars and restaurants or more desolate? Do you want to live with people your own age?

$1200 for a one-bedroom isn't realistic in most areas. Maybe you can find an apartment share in Morristown? I know you said you don't like bars or whatever, but downtown Newark/Ironbound is getting nicer by the year. I lived there 8 years ago and had positive memories. You cant afford that either though.

Morristown probably is at least starting at $2k for a 1br. Apparently he wants quiet? Morristown is very social. I'd recommend the sticks out in Sussex County or one those gritty towns bordering Newark. Gonna be tough.
