Hate to be blunt, but either read what people are saying here or rent. If you do not understand what they are saying, real estate might not be a good place to put your money.
Real Estate in Northern Bergen County***
Real Estate is a great investment, but this area just may not be for him. If you don't care about school systems, there really is no point in buying in most of Bergen County.

quality of life, access to NYC, access to year around outdoor recreation, decent train/bus service, access to multiple major airports, a multitude of suburban style housing to choose from, real estate that holds its value, amazing food/bev/shopping choices, and generally well maintained towns, then, yes, there is no reason to buy in most of Bergen County.

Sure if I had enough money I’d move to alpine and pay a low tax rate for the crazy houses but I’m just asking questions which is what people do on forums

I am 25/young professional/relatively social, and cant stand going to NYC.. Bergen County has all I need. Unless I want the beach or airport, it has it all. But what I like, someone else might not.
