I am engaged and plan on moving to NJ within the next year. My fiance and I want to rent in NJ and commute to NYC for a year while saving up to buy a house. Can anyone provide advice on places to look for apartments. We want a college town feel sort of like Hoboken or Red Bank with a commute of less than an hour where rent isn't outrageous (1 Br $1,600 or less). We know that it's hard to find a great place without paying alot, but we have alot of time to look. Any advice?
Who said you can't find a 1 BR in Hoboken for less than $1600? Are you only considering large, luxury apartments? If that is the case, yeah, you might not find any.
There seem to be plenty of sub-$1600 1 BRs in Hoboken.
