How come we can't buy fireworks for New Year's Eve? It sucks without it!
In Sweden, the whole sky is full of fireworks everywhere. People could buy fireworks (if 18 years old). Last year, it was my first New Years Eve without fireworks It didn't feel like New Year.

I've read people also go to Phantom fireworks on Rt. 80 west in Delaware Water Gap, Pennsylvania. It's the first exit over the PA/NJ border. From what I've heard.

Just be careful- the troopers have a tendency to hang out near the fireworks places just in PA, and tail cars with NJ plates back across the border to do trunk inspections. Seems they're not as dumb as some folks make them out to be.

To answer the original question of "why aren't firework allowed in NJ", it's because your nanny-state democratic government knows what's best for you- haven't you figured that out yet? You'll shoot your eye out, kid! (in memory of Ralphie)

That's why I go for a little drive deeper into PA after the purchase before turning around.

Every year thousands of kids get hurt with fireworks because they have morons for parents and they think it's OK to let kids play with fireworks. That's why they are illegal in NJ . They are illegal in PA also but they sell a lot to NJ morons who also let their kids use them.

Every year thousands of kids get hurt doing all kinds of things, we can't go around banning all of it. Maybe if the good folks of NJ started taking responsibility for their own actions or that of their kids and stopped suing at the drop of a hat, we could enjoy life a little more freely.

Or...do like we did in HS days when we wanted beer...pay some local ******* with PA tags to go in and buy them..then meet you down the road to exchange the "goods". LOL - I don't see why some of the fireworks are illegal..the little stuff like sparklers, fire crackers, bottle rockets..they're pretty much harmless if handled correctly.

Fireworks don't belong in the hands of any kids and we need laws to keep stupid parents from alowing their children to blow their fingers off.

Just wow. Let the parents make that decision.
