TDK north has merged with Commerce, I was told I can deposit in both banks now due to merge. I have an account with TDK North, I went Friday, early morning to a Commerce and deposited a check! Its MIA, its still not in my checking account, I have been calling both TDK and the commerce branch that I deposited, and I am getting the god damn run around. I WANT MY MONEY, its now Thursday and still not in my account, so from Friday morning to Thursday, I am going to flip soon! WHen I talk to these idiots they tell me , ohh the computer system is not correlated so its has to go to some TDK processing center but it should have been there they guarenteeded by yesterday. OHH im going to have a fun morning calling these morons again. What can I do?? Its not like the check is even on hold, there is NO sign of it, I have the deposit slip, so thats my one saving grace, but that does not get the money in my account. I am going to BITC@@@@

I'm sure you still have your deposit receipt.

I would go into the branch and demand that they credit my account immediately or start making phone calls right there to the higher ups at the bank. Next I would start calling the OCC (Office of the Controller of the Currency). They regulate all National Charter Banks.

OCC - Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, Administrator of National Banks

If it's a larger check it could take several days to clear, if not, it should be in your account. Problem with mergers is, there is normally a lot of integration problems, epecially the systems, customer service, etc. For these reasons there is always customer loss.

it was not a huge check that they would hold, I had those and understand , its gone, lost , mia, so I just called the bank tkd headquarters, and they told me got to do a research on it, we did it yesterday. What good does that do me? What happens if it takes weeks, this is crap, I am so pissed!!! Its not even in the hold area of my account, I am mad, I am called the higher ups, I want my money, its only 900 dollars but still, this is crap. Yes its due to the merge, but how long should I suffer??? What is they dont find it? I am livid now, this sucks!

You'll get it eventually. But I'd bank somewhere else after that.

I use a local community bank... never had nay issues and I love the people that work there. We usually end up gabbing away with the tellers for hours..lol : ) I love the hometown feel of a community bank. Support the LITTLE GUY!
