Just got my home rebate in direct deposit. It was $458. I was expecting alot more, atleast double.

Both of us make a combined under 100 K. Is this the correct amount? I though the home rebate should be around $1000-$1500 for those making under 100K.

Any insight is appreciated.

How much do you pay in taxes? I think it's a percentage of your taxes that you get back.

I got 1600+. It's a % of taxes. The more you pay (I pay over 9K), the more you get back.

20% of the first $10K of property taxes if your income is less than $100K.

10% of the first $10K of property taxes if your income is $100,001 to $150,000

0% if over

got no choice but to pay estimated! A pencil pusher wont get me out of those, does not mean a thing, can't get out of those! But on the flip side, I guess I made some money last year. There are years when the estimated is not as much, years when its lousy! Just save what you made in investments to pay them! Can't skip um, be in the jail!! Meet some good mobster!

I typically don't pay my estimated taxes... I just wait until April - why let them have my money? The penalty is minimum... $400 I think. I'm better off keeping it in a savings account or CD until April rolls around. My estimated taxes for this year are $2000 ...got to get yourself a new acct. my dear..trust me!
