how do these dainty shops in Hoboken survive through the years?

i noticed this for like 10 years

i'm not a resident, but i frequent the area

theres this little cutesy small tea shops in the corner of a corner

how do they make any money?

i know the bars make tons of money, but what about these miscellaneous stores?

if this was NYC, i could understand how they could make money . . . because for one tourism and the city is always busy

but Hoboken? Monday through Thursday its quiet, and on other days i dont think anybody goes inside their stores

just seems like a bad idea to open a shop in Hoboken if it doesnt involve Alcohol or Pizza

i think these little shop owners are well off and they just want to keep busy and say they work, lol

Are you talking about Hoboken???

I was there last Tuesday afternoon and I couldn't find a place to park. The "small" shoppe that I went into was crowded as were the streets and sidewalks. You are talking about one of the most densely populated Cities in the country.
Trust me, ALL of these shoppes are busy.
