can you donate food you make yourself? (Hoboken: legal, money)

I was looking on bergen volunteers.org - trying to find something fun/interesting and giving to do this season. i have contacted CFA a few times with no response. i really dont have money to give but will Bake,cook and volunteer my time, physical labor or computer knowledge, and services. I noticed theres something about a shelter in Hoboken that suggest you make your own lunch bags with PB&J sandwiches to give to residents who needs it. It brings me to the question of personal liability of making your own food and giving it away... is there any?????

Hmm, maybe you should re-read all those peanut threads! I'm sure some will tell you to write a legal disclaimer on ever lunch bag "caution: this peanut butter may contain peanuts."

But seriously, check with the individual charity. There's probably some hold-harmless protection like for people who attempt CPR on strangers.
