My husband is off today so that I did not drive to work this morning. Anything happened this morning?

I will need to pickup my son from his preschool before 6pm. The school is in Berkeley Heights, right beside the train station. If no traffic, I should be able to make it in 25 minutes via I78. I just checked google map and it looks like the milage is very close either I go I78 or 22. I will try RT22 on Wednesday. Hope I can make it to school before 6PM. How about morning route for 22? Is it good?

Maybe I should try to go from I78 exit 56 first before trying 22.

In my experience, RT22 is a disaster after 7:30am as well as after 4:30pm... I don't know what was going on with 22 this morning but the exit at 140 on the GSP was backed up about a mile! I saw that, decided to take 78 into Newark, and was greated with something similar. Yet, no mention of anything on the traffic reports...

You don't really want to tangle ass with Rt 22, east of Green Brook. Ever. Well, maybe if there's a good place to shop or eat.

Bonnie Burn Road always used to work for me. And yes, you can access the express lane directly from "McCarter Highway". I remember those days. No more for me, thanks!

McCarter Highway is very jacked up everyday. I was driving from there and get on I78 from exit 57 on Monday. After getting on I78 from there, you stay in local lane for a while before you can merge into express. I got stuck there. I do not know what happened becaue there was nothing after the entrance of express lane and evrything just opened up.
Therefore, I was thinking to go through Broad Street and get on from exit 56.

OK. I have been driving 3 days by now. Generally I78 is very good. The choke point in the morning is when I getting down to McCarter Highway. Today, I found the shortcut to get away most part of McCarter by driving via small streets between McCarter and Broad Street. I left BH at 7:52, got on I78 at 8:00 and arrived parking lot in Newark at 8:26. For evening route, I tried to get on I78 from Irvine turner (Belmont Ave) yesterday and it works pretty well. I left parking lot at 5:15, got on I78 at 5:30 and arrived BH (daycare) at 5:52.
