What's a good and reasonable Indian grocery store to shop for spices, rice, fresh veggies etc on Oaktree? I think I was at Patel's Cash and Carry a while back to buy some Chai (tea). Anyone shop on Oaktree?

I actually prefer Bhavani in South Plainfield. Oak Tree is way too crowded.

What about Kanman on Rt 1 in Edison, close to Penang Restaurant. It's not Indian, but probably has most of the stuff you want, and more.

There's a newer, larger store at the same intersection as Patel's Cash-n-Carry that has seemed to be overflowing with people since it opened. It's on the same side of OakTree, on the opposite side of the cross street. I can't say if the pricing/quality are good, but it sure packs in the people, so something must be right.

I was out exploring Oaktree Rd for eateries and shopping today since it was a good day weather wise. I've been to Patel's but further down going toward Edison in the Sugar Tree Plaza was a big cash and carry store(possibly called Apna Bazaar), very impressed with it and very clean. A better place to park also.
