From Jersey Gardens to IZOD Center (Elizabeth, Rutherford: mall, buses, train)

Help me out with this issue. We are planning to go to the Jerey gardens outlet and then attend a basketball game at the IZOD center. We will be in NYC, so we'll need to find a way to go from Jersey Gardens to East Rutherford, preferably to the arena itself. Any hints? Much appreciated

you can jump on the turnpike. i know jersey gardens is off exit 13 in elizabeth.

By Car:
Traveling North on the New Jersey Turnpike
Follow the Western Spur (Sports Complex to Exit 16W), which provides direct access to Sports Complex parking areas. If congested, use eastern spur (Lincoln Tunnel) to exit 16E to Route 3 West, follow directions above

Car is your only real choice- there's no train stop at either Jersey Gardens or IZOD, and I doubt very highly that there's a bus between the two.

If you wanted to take a bus, you'd have to take one from the mall back to the Port Autority and then get on a different bus back to New Jersey and the Meadowlands.

Very time consunming and inconvenient.

If you can take a cab to North Elizabeth station from the mall, you can get to Secaucus Junction and take the bus to IZOD center.

there are direct buses to the mall from NYC.
