This is for a project I have to do. I can't find the information online. I need to know what percentage of New Jerseyans drive foreign made cars. I'm comparing it to the levels in my town for a project I'm doing. I'm comparing the percentage in my town to the state level and national level. For those who are interested, the national level was 57% of americans drive foreign made cars.

Dude come on, read your poll question carefully ... everyone will answer "yes" because by definition, everyone drives "an American or foreign made car".

Make one choice "American-made" and the other choice "Foreign-made".

(This doesn't even address the issue of foreign-brand cars that are made in the USA, or "American" cars that are made overseas, but anyway ... at least you get the American-brand versus foreign-brand statistics ...)

One more thing...many GM, Ford cars are made abroad, and many Toyota, Nissan, Honda cars sold here are made in the US. You need to distinguish that.

Maybe say, do you drive a car branded/made by an American company (or company based in USA). LOL

Exactly.

"American made" is a potential minefield because numerous Toyotas (Kentucky), Hondas (Ohio), Subarus (Indiana) and I think even Nissan's are made in the US even though they are Japanese manufacturers.

Conversely, a fair number of US models are built in Canada (GM) and Mexico (Chrysler)

Why not just start another poll? I'm sure the moderators will just delete this one....

hopefully...

well how about this:

i said 62% of New Jerseyans drive a foreign made car. The average NJ family owns about 2 cars. People from NJ spend about $30,000-$40,000 on cars. The most common brands driven in NJ being Honda, Toyota, and Ford.

^sounds legitimate, right? that's what I wrote on my report.
