Yeah they are legally allowed to overcharge you 14% but 15% I guess is the "I guess that is a tad to much" so they will let you slide. F'in joke.

Couple of years ago, I met with our municipal tax assessor and was able to handle it that way and avoided the appeals process. My neighbours said that process was not a very pleasant experience. Their appeal was not successful.

For you it is town based. Part-time guy based out of Bergen county.
