Are they NJ's little brother or are we twins in comparison to big brother NY?

Most of CT is nice but being up there vs being in NJ gives me a little chill. I suppose that might vanish with time. At least CT did the RIGHT thing with tolls and took then all down many years ago. NJ should do that but probably never will.

I suppose if you asked this same question but asked NJs view on NY intead then this thread would be 10 pages long. All the years I lived in NJ I never had an opinion of CT good or bad. I have plenty about NY though.

No, Connecticut is actually it's own state. It holds itself down. It has it's own thing outthere. I remember going to Bridgeport 5 years ago and needless to say, I'm staying where I'm at. Connecticut is it's own world, WAY different from New Jersey.

As far as NY who needs it? Well I'm not putting it down, but when I cross the river back to America, I fell home. Upstate NY over the NJ line I can handle much better even could live there. I just don't like being on islands too long.

Just don't care. Part of CT is too much part of the NY region to make it special. The other parts of it are less populated and seem more unique, quiet and just slower paced. Maybe that part can hold itself down? I just don't think too many care about it. Politically it is very close to NJ and the urban areas are very similar. The politics of the urban areas and the suburban areas are very close in regard to the two states. Probably closer than any other states of the 50. That might be interesting to some.

CT is way too big and makes a long and boring trip to Boston from NJ.

No offense to anyone who lives in CT, but I think that NJ is a better place to live. Considering NJ and CT are neck and neck with regards to high expense, educated population, similar landscape, etc. NJ actually has more wilderness areas (Pine Barrens) and a far better coastline (we are actually on the ocean, CT is on the LI sound).

I like CT though, it certainly has some really nice small towns.

I do know that CT closed and locked up most of the State parks many years ago due to budget difficulties. I still have a special restricted key to open a state park gate where I used to go to a TV tower up on the hill. Eerie, you are the only person for miles up there.
