I will be moving to New York and am considering moving to New Jersey. I am looking for a 1 bedroom apartment.
I am looking for some information on what kind of place could 1500 $ get me in New Jersey? Can I easily get a fully furnished place in New Jersey for this amount?
Do let me know of any suggestions on which neighbourhoods are ideal for commutation to work (Times Square), safe and convenient. I do not mind commutation time of 30-45 minutes.
I know someone who rents furnished apartments in Morristown and Chatham, both accessible to midtown direct lines.
Check out the Midtown Direct train line (and any others) schedule on NJTransit.com. That will give you an idea of what towns and distances you're looking at. Keep in mind those towns are at a price premium and your budget might be too low. I don't know the prices myself, but I'm just supposing.
Thanks Clevedark, would it be possible to check with your acquaintance regarding the going rates for these furnished properties in these two areas mentioned by you? It will surely help. I will meanwhile also check on craiglist
