Any ideas for an extended weekend? Maybe a 4 day trip (Thursday - Sunday). This will be around mid-November.
Somewhere warm would be nice, but it's NOT a requirement.
I'd like for there to be interesting things to do. This can be anywhere, from very local, to very far (West Coast). I'd like for there to be at least a little nightlife/restaurants, etc.
It looks like I'll be likely traveling by myself since I cannot find a travel companion. Anybody want to join!??

Las Vegas! I can pack in an hour.
The Bahamas or Puerto Rico are good choices, too.
And there's always New York City. Get a room, go as a tourist.
Well, if you want to stay local what about NYC? There is soooo many things to do there that people who live in the area take for granted and never do. You can stay in a nice hotel centrally located with the money you would save on airfare to anywhere else. Party it up see a couple shows check out some of the museums, typical "tourist" things
For somewhere warm, what about PR? I LOOOOVE it there! The flights are short enough that it won't be a waste to go there for a long weekend, there is a vibrant nightlife in the Old San Juan area, lots of beautiful old Spanish architecture , casinos, beautiful beaches, friendly people , good food, historical sites things are pretty cheap theres lots of outlet shopping and best part is since its part of the US you don't have the hassel of visas/customs etc. and if you go to the drug store/supermarket you will find all your favorite brands. Jetblue flies there really cheap. If I had some money and vacation time i'd be on the next flight! Sadly, I have neither..
Watch some of the best figure skaters in the world compete at Lake Placid? There are lots of other sporty things to do there and nice places to stay and eat. SKATE AMERICA 2009 - LAKE PLACID NEW YORK
