Hi,

There is a new luxury rental community called Camelot at Federal Hill, coming up at 365 Lehigh Avenue Perth Amboy, NJ 08861. I and my wife are considering to move to this place from Jersey City by Jan 2010. Could someone please advise if the neighbourhood is good for family and if there are any safetly concerns. Also are there any good schools and hospitals in the vicinity.

Thanks in advance
Sid

Well, Perth Amboy, like Jersey City, is an Abbott District, and the schools aren't that great. That alone would make me rethink that choice, unless you're considering private school.

I personally think Perth Amboy is a better place to raise a family than Jersey City. However, PA is about 90 percent Hispanic. So, if you're not Hispanic, you may feel a bit uncomfortable. Just something to keep in mind when making your decision.
