I am trying to get more info on the 114 bus on Route 22 into the city from the Northern section of Westfield. Is the stop really on Lawrence and Route 22 (I see there is a little old fashion bus stop looking thing there on the street)?

I also heard something about parking being at the Mountainside Library (if so, is there parking available for Westfield residents). If this is the place, is it safe to walk across Route 22 to the depot?

Also, does the bus fill up, or will I get a seat at this stop? And when coming home, how long is the wait for the bus to get home (sometimes I have to wait 30 minutes for the hoboken bus because the line is long for no real reason)

NJ transit was no help with my questions.

Thanks for any info

I guess I have to go to the Port Authority and get on the 114 bus one night (and then take it back again)

We take that 114X bus into the city. You will usually get a seat in the morning, although it will be crowded. There is a stop on Rte 22 at Lawrence Avenue on the eastbound side into the city. I am not sure where those people park there cars, but I'm thinking on side streets off 22 or they live closeby. There is a stop on the way back from the city across the street, and there is a light that you can use to cross 22 (just be careful as you never know...) but it's generally safe if you obey the lights. Their usually isn't a bad line to get home once in PA. Not like those other busses you see...nothing like that.

Thanks a lot. I was pretty sure that is how things are, just wanted to know if I were missing anything. I would only be 3 blocks form the stop, so I would walk (still use to walking from living in NYC).
