If you look closely at the map at the top of the page, it appears the storm is trtacking a bit west of NJ. If that continues, we could get lucky & end up with nothing but some minor snow showers.
Well... at least I have the snowblower at the new house... it's about time we got some snow anyhow... I actually saw a bit of grass in my backyard yesterday! Heaven forbid! Where's some good old fashioned global warming when you need it!

Nemmert,
This what is referred to in North Dakota as 'a dusting'.
omg.. when will it end. im tired of it now. this a.m. i picked up my daughters friend for school, and her driveway has not been plowed(its dirt and gravel nd they have a 4 wheel drive jeep)the driveway is about 100 feet long. any other day i would have been fine going down it.today I got stuck. i have a little 98 saturn that usually can go through anything but i guess with all the rain it turned it to slush.. i could not get out. so of course i had to call a few friends to get me out. i should have never gone down the driveway but i did. not anymore until that snow is gone. so im ready for spring and summer.

LOL... more or less... you surely wouldn't see wide spread panic and a run on the grocery stores. I will say that NJ does a much better job with power... outside of that huge blackout 6-8 years ago that hit much of the northeast, I haven't had any issues with losing power in NJ... can't say the same for ND.
The real funny thing is I know more people in NJ that have snowblowers than I did people in ND. Not sure if it's laziness, more discretionary cash, larger driveways/sidewalks or what... just an interesting observation.
