I will be spending two nights in AC with young kids. What is there to do around there for them? Been to AC many times but never normally see daylight....
I have found Storybook Land and Lucy the Elephant. Also, the amusements, mini golf, etc., along the boardwalk.
What else is a "must see" or would be fun for the youngsters? Any fun kids restaurants?
There's a Rainforest Cafe near Caesar's on the AC boardwalk, tons of kid appeal. There is also an aquarium at Gardener's Basin in AC, and also a restaurant where you can eat there on the water it's not great, though, but fine for lunch). If it's May or later, the boat tours will be running. How old are your kids? If they are Storybook Land age, they will love the Ocean City boardwalk. If you know the dates you are coming, I can tell you if anything is going on (for instance the 17th is our "Doo Dah" parade, which is basically a parade of silliness, the rear of which is brought up by a parade of about 500 basset hounds, which people bring from all over the east coast!
Jersey Shore Children's museum. I think it's right off exit 36 on the GSP: Children's Museum of EHT. It's located in the Jersey Shore mall which is kind of a dive mall but the museum (which really just occupies one of the stores) is a lot of fun for kids. We can spend hours in there.
I'm pretty sure you have to be 21 to get into "the pool" at Harrah's. But they do have a separate "family fun center" with another pool and apparently mini golf. Although being at an AC casino would probably not be very exciting for a kid. I second the OC boardwalk, but if you want to stay in AC the AC boardwalk really isn't that bad and has a bunch of rides and stuff including the Steel Pier.
