Okay, I've read Susana's platform. IMHO, Denish's is better. Hence why I am voting Denish.

As for madrid, I did not actively campaign for her, but i talked several family members in the ABQ area into voting for her.

As for illegals, I am not in favor of them jumping the border, but the fact is that they are here. What DO YOU PROPOSE? No one seems to answer that. I think if they're here, we might as well use them to our advantage. THey pay a fine, (usually stated at between 500-1500 USD), they learn english, work, and after about 6 to 7 years they get citizenship. And yes, learning english is a part of what is proposed. So far, I have not hear republicans offer much up.

I'm 18, out of high school, and already a sophomore, who is starting at UNM this fall. I DO speak with lots of people, and not just from Roosevelt County. All I know, is many people are not comfortable with Martinez, and Weh was definitely popular among ranchers and farmers, and people in general in these parts.

And buddy, if you're basing a vote on ads, you might want to change your vote, bud.

So far, on BOTH of the discussions so far, the only reason I seem to hear about people voting FOR Martinez is separation from Richardson. Other than that, I don't seem to see many GOPers knowing her platform at all, nor Denish's.

I'm a dem, smart enough to make the choices I make. Thats why i'm voting for susana, cause I want BOLD CHANGE. People are tired of the same old crappy politics here.

So I guess you're speaking as the 36 year old Bradly, not the 17 year old one you also
post as from time to time?

Actually Bradly's highly variable persona has been the source of a number of off-board
conversations and laughter.

A 17 year-old pretending to be an adult doesn't concern me anywhere near as much
as a 36 year-old pretending to be a 17 year-old...

you remind of another guy who is on the Ca and Political threads all the time, if I didn't know better I would swear you are the same because you are both young and think you know everything. I am amazed that now you say, you didn't really campaign but you talked several of your family members into voting for Madrid. I am amazed family members would listen to a 14 year old and decide how to vote based on what he said???

You think paying a small fine of $500 or even $1500 would be enough? give me a break, even those who have tried to introduce an amnesty bill are saying a fine of thousands of dollars.

Yes, Republicans have offered a lot, did you read what McCain wanted? Do you realize Reagan signed a bill in the late 1980s? In fact that is part of the reason we are in this mess..

You are saying many are voting for Martinez because of Denish's connection with Richardson. I guess I missed that part of this discussion. Didn't you also tell us many don't like Martinez because she is to the right of Weh?

It really appears you don't know much about her or about anything except you know you are a die in the wool lib and will vote that way regardless. This isn't too bright, but is the American way. It would help if you would just admit it though.

Enforcement of current laws may actually go quite a long way as well.

If that had been done in the first place, we would not be overrun with illegal aliens who are straining budgets, hospitals, emergency rooms and welfare services.

.....and I like what the democrats are doing.

That's scary.

Latest poll: race remains a statistical tie.
http://www.realclearpolitics.com/doc...r%20062310.pdf

What's interesting to me is that the poll over-represented registered Democrats, and white, non-Hispanics ( 53% and 60% of those polled, respectively).
