Just wondering where the colleges or universities are in the Taos, Santa Fe area. Thanks.

G Grasshopper, unsure about using a search engine, asked:

> ... where the colleges or universities ... Taos, Santa Fe ...

Pull up either
Google Advanced Search
Yahoo! Advanced Web Search

And enter either [Taos] or "[Santa Fe"] and look for either [college] or [university]

Are looking at the two towns -- Santa Fe and Taos only -- are you considering points between? If the latter then you might search on Espanola also which has a four year state college, whose name changes periodically and may be offering masters now. While Espanola is not for everyone, I suspect that attending the college presents no problems.

If you picked up Santa Fe College in your searches, I believe that they have some financial problems and may be cutting back on some programs.

Good luck.

Thank you both. We don't have big degree plans - just considering moving to the area, and my husband and I both enjoy taking interesting classes. We like to have a college or university in some proximity. It seems that there are quite a few.

Taos has a branch of UNM. Small but growing. SMU also operates Ft. Burgwin and offers some classes or seminars. Espanola is home to a college also.

Santa Fe Community College offers quite a variety of credit and continuing ed courses. St John's in Santa Fe offers some great seminars now and again. The Santa Fe Institute, a prestigious research facility, offers several public lectures and seminars each year.
