Hello,
I currently live in California. I am a single mom who is looking to totally relocate to Farmington NM. I would need to start from that ground up, job, schools, and home (rental). I am looking for advice on where or how to get started, and on what Farmington has to offer for me.

Any specific reason for choosing Farmington? Jobs are pretty hard to come by in New Mexico, especially in smaller towns.

Again; why choose Farmington. Do you have sustainable $$$ for a while. I live quite a ways south and from what I have heard Farmington is ok: but fair amount of drugs/pop, jobs??? Schools ??

Best move down and rent for a while to see what it is like; and the winters etc.

I suggest checking out the Albuquerque job and rental markets before deciding on Farmington.
