Try looking southwest of T or C. There is lots of desert around Lordsville.

I think you mean Lordsburg.

Lordsburg area has lots of desert to explore in the "boot heel" of NM.

I like T or C /Elephant Butte area, has a micro climate with milder lows than Socorro or even Hatch.
