6 foot 3, you're a lifter/bodybuilder, as I am, are there any hardcore/kickbutt gyms around TorC/Elephant Butte? Not panty-waste spas or yuppie fitness salon's...real, serious steel working joints in the general area...or do I need to bring ALL my very massive/cumbersome stuff with me? I have 11 pieces of professional Nautilus equipment alone, and much more besides. Enough stuff to open a tight little club of my own I suppose... Could stand to part with some of the larger specimens if I know that I can get a "b---s-to-the-wall" workout in my future neighborhood. Thanks for any advice you can give bro.

I really don't know as the town is about 7,500 people so not alot of options. I thought i've seen a Parks and Rec Community Center over in Williamsburg (next to t or c) there so maybe they have a weight room etc...

I'd call the Tor C Parks and Rec number and see what they say at (575) 894-1943.
or You could try the Chamber of Commerce and see if there are any listed with them at (575) 894-3536.

If you find out let us know as you have me curious about it.
6/3

According to the Chamber of Commerce there is a great facility named Man In Motion (or Jungle Gym...she was not sure abiout the name). It's about six miles from town and close to the lake, I'm told. This may be welcome news!

Thats great to hear Dracul......as i know you kick some butt in there.

Also with all the Sunbirds that head down there for 6 months every winter i'd think some of them are into staying in shape with weights at a gym etc...

I copy that bro! Now I can sell some of the largest machines and travel lighter. Next up; must find the best "twisties" for motorcycling around southern New Mexico. Any clues?

Just get a Benchmark Atlas of New Mexico and look for the roads marked in small, narrow red lines or red dashed lines. I figure a 400 cc dirt bike is on the toy list when I retire.

The road from T or C to Silver City via Lake Roberts looks interesting.

Try the Bursam Road from Glenwood to Madgelna. The first nine miles to Mogollon are amazing.
