We are seniors, wanting to move to Clovis area, to rent a home. Which is a good side of town to look for a quiet area, in or out of town.? Need a place to park a camper on property. Have any idea's.?

As I mentioned before, anywhere north of 21st, and/or east of Norris will be your best bet.
I've seen plenty of houses with some sort of RV parked in a driveway, or behind the house.
Crime and noise pollution wise, the only thing I would complain about is train modified exhaust noise.
Other than that, it's pretty easy to sleep at night around here for the most part.
And this is coming from someone who just considers this area a brief, stop-over in life.

To be honest, weather and proximity from "things to do" are my only complaints.
But then again, I'm a thirty-something/single guy from So Cal suburbia.
As retirees, families, and people with a settled down mentality goes, the "Old West" mentality is far exaggerated than it sounds.
The community at large would be as good/bad crime wise as any other place that isn't, say, San Bernardino?
So yes.
If I was in your shoes, I'd say give it a shot.
