You know what's really strange? To go look at the forum for your old city, wherever it might be, after you've been here only a few weeks. This place is so removed from the stress and rush of other places. It's awesome.
I was told that one didn't pick NM, it picked you. I'm starting to believe it.
Amen to all of that yukon, sometimes I just stop and think "is this just a dream, am I really here in NM?" I don't even want to look at the forum to Providence, RI, like someone else said to me, "don't look back" and I want the past to stay in the past, but I do know what you mean. We have only been here a short while and it already feels like home, this place is awsome!
DesertPeace, So glad you made it and everything worked out great. You will grow to love the state more each year. It would be fun to meet up sometime.

Golly, DesertPeace, color me so envious of you! Good for you. Las Cruces is one of the great places to be in the US as far as I am concerned, and I am so happy for you that you made it there! (Although I admit to be higggghhhllly jealous!).

Congratulations Desert Peace! I've not visited this forum for awhile but glad to read you've made it! WE are readying for our first caravan to TorC next month. Rented a 26' truck that will house some of my smaller equipment pieces. June will see a 52' Goliath with more of my heavy metal bound for our land. So much work and planning yet ahead...daunting...but we keep our eyes on the prize!
