They say Hazardous Conditions May Exist. I love these signs. Its as if it is about life itself.

Hazardous Conditions May Exist. How existential is that? You don't often see the anymore. They seem to have been replaced by realistic instructions of what to do in case of a dust storms. Can anyone tell me a road or highway where one of these signs can be found? I want to take a photo to hang on my wall.

Also-- the cattle on road signs. In other states its a dairy cow. In New Mexico its a raging bull. Thats so cool. Who makes these signs? Probably inmates.

I'll have to start paying more attention to road signs, when I drive around the state.

I really need a picture of Hazardous Conditions May Exist. Its a diamond shaped yellow sign.

I even emailed the Chief of New Mexico Highway Dept. He said he couldn't send me one but they are out there. The signs are not along HW 10 anymore. It's now replaced with Instructions of What To Do in a Dust Storm. Maybe on the back roads of New Mexico the signs still May Exist

I have often pondered that myself.
“Gusty winds may exist.”
Why, yes, yes they may indeed.
A lot of things “may exist.”
It almost implies permission.
How nice to know I’m not the only one.

My favorite is one I saw here somewhere, sorry I don’t know where (photos thread?)

The sign reads “Universe closed, Use Rainbow”

I think it was regarding construction detour...
