We’re having a terrible time trying to find a rental. We don’t want to live in one of the big apartment complexes. We’d prefer a house, mobile home, or small apartment complex. Looking in Tijeras, Edgewood, NE Heights, or Bernalillo. It seems as though Craigslist, which used to be a great resource, is just full of the large complexes posting the same ad up to 20 times a day. The Journal doesn’t have what we’re looking for either. I know these places exist, based on the multiple “for rent” signs I see when driving around, but where do they advertise??

Check property management companies in ABQ.

So the next time you see one of these multiple "for rent" signs, why don't you call the number on the sign and/or google the name on the sign?

OR

Gloaming2003 and Ruth are right. Also an online site you might want to check out is Padmapper.com for rentals.

How long do you intend to rent? If it's just a transitional situation (like if you're moving and house hunting), vacation rental sites like VRBO might also be an option--and a good place to find furnished options, if you're interested in that. Many offer discounts for longer-term visitors (i.e. those who aren't just staying for a week).
