Curious if vacationers are abiding by the 14 day mandatory quarantine? We would love to visit but with exploding COVID cases we are frightened. We are 8 hours away by car.

It would be wise to wait. It will still be there.

Gonna see what's for sale near downtown in Vegas. Later today.

Or tomorrow. There's no rush, right? I'm gonna work another 3 years, 10 months, 6 days and 72 hours until I'm gonna retire. There's no rush on this project.

I'm gonna call it the Las Vegas, New Mexico, project.

"Official" Travel restrictions for NM can be found here
https://www.newmexico.org/covid-19-t...r-information/

There are currently 6 states exempt from the 14 day quarantine.

I've been perusing Las Vegas, NM, real estate and found a couple near downtown I'd be interested in. Trouble is, I need to stay down south here in Alamo and work for 3 years, 10 months and 2 days longer. Whew! With time flying by like it has lately, that'll come in no time. The other plan is to just visit Las Vegas, NM, every so often and keep nourishing our Alamogordo home here.

I see that it's 47 degrees in Alamogordo right now and it's 44 degrees in Las Vegas, NM, right now. Not bad. I actually can live in a colder environment, having grown up in the Seattle area.

Nice. I loved visiting Las Vegas, NM! Just the right attraction I find out about up there and we'll probably move up north. Stay tuned. Another positive factor is its close proximity to Santa Fe and Albuquerque for zoo and aquarium visits.

BTW - I just checked the Weather underground website and it says '0' inches of snow so far in 2020 in Las Vegas, NM? Huh? You gotta be kidding me! I thought they've already had snow this year.

I'll probably visit Las Vegas sometime. Never visited Albuquerque either. Stopped overnight in Santa Fe once heading to the Rockies. And chased balloons around various parts of the state when I was stationed here a long time back. Travelled to various parts further west during a couple of trips down to visit from Kansas City and looked around. But it took me too long to get to Alamogordo, and I'm still getting settled. I'm staying put.

You're right! I am really intrigued by this small town. And I don't mind the colder weather up north, either.

I am heading up there this weekend for one night in LV and then into the mountains (a cabin) for a week to get an altitude adjustment. Close enough to make a quick trip home for livestock purposes.
