...the only thing that quells the uproar over a driver with 10 previous DWI's being involved in an accident with another guy is the news that the other guy had 13 previous DWI's.

Wink You know when . . .

You know you're in New Mexico when come autumn many grocery stores and other locations are roasting chiles outside.

You know you're in New Mexico when the most common vehicle in town (in Taos, anyway) seems to be an a somewhat ancient, small Toyota pickup. Most usually liberally coated with mud, long dried or fresh.

When you get off the plane at Sunport and there are only 500 people in the terminal instead of 5K or 50K.

1. When you know it's time to go to the airport to pick up your guests when you hear the twice-daily plane from ABQ fly over your house.

2. When the parking at the airport is free, unlike Logan at Boston, where it costs $11.00 for the two hours it will take you to find your person, get the luggage, and get out.

Note: The Clovis airport is just 7-10 minutes away from almost anywhere in Clovis. I always compare that to the days when we drove and hour and a half to the San Francisco Airport; and in later years, an hour and a half to the Boston Airport.
