If I need to get to ABQ from Las Vegas, is there a mode of transportation , other than the train , available. Coz I have to catch a flight from ABQ next month and train would not get me there in time. I can't drive since I don't have a car.
I have heard there is a park and ride transport system. How does that work ?
Any advice would be appreciated. Thanking you in advance.

Hmm...maybe a taxi?

Are you leaving already?

No.. I am staying here for the semester and then transferring elsewhere. I am just going to take off a week next month and head to New York to blow off some steam.

Oh I see! It's still too bad Las Vegas wasn't to your liking. Nevertheless, I hope you have a blast in NY. Wish I could get away for a bit.

Hey, I don't know if you're still around, but I just found out today that NM Park & Ride serves Las Vegas.

Here's a route schedule:

http://www.nmshtd.state.nm.us/upload/images/ParkNRide/Northern%20August,%201%202008.pdf (broken link)

The downside is that the times are very limited. The bus departs from Vegas Monday through Friday (no weekend service) at 5:45am, gets to Santa Fe at 6:50am, then gets to the Alvarado Center in Albuquerque at 7:55am. From the Alvarado Center, you can take the Rail Runner to the ABQ airport (Sunport).

In Vegas, the bus stop is located in that parking lot that's across the street from the **** 'n' Span. I'm thinking I might do this come winter break if the weather gets icky and I don't feel like driving home. It's only $3 one-way, $6 round trip.

It probably doesn't sound any more ideal than the train, but it's another means of getting to ABQ from Vegas that I hadn't known about before.

Ack! The board censored out the name of the restaurant, but I'm sure you know what it is.
