This was in the ABQ Journal paper today about how New Mexico is still growing in the econimy when the rest of the nation is slowed down.

While housing is down the commercial sector is booming especially all the new school construction as over $1 billion is going on currently. It also mentioned Health Care sectors, Indian Casinos, Call Centers, Information and Film Production sectors are all hiring.

It mentioned New Mexico unemployment rate at 3.9% and Albuquerquer at 3.9%.

Thank goodness for oil, natural gas, coal, CU, Mo, U308, wind power and all the other natural resources that keep this state afloat.

I've never been better. Financially, anyway, the best move of my life was moving from New Jersey to here.

Default Eclipse is leaving?

6-3, don't know if you saw my earlier post, but apparently Eclipse will start manufacturing planes in Russia.

The New York Times > Log In

I don't know if this means they will be closing up shop in ABQ, or if they're just cutting back. I'm curious if there've been any local news stories on this...?

Either way, I don't think it'll have a big impact on ABQ's job market, but I was surprised to see them packing up so soon.

Eclipse has really burned Albquerque. They took in a ton of taxpayer welfare dollars from the city. Mayor Chavez's pet project sure did turn out bad for all those that were employed by eclipse.
