My grandmother bought two one acre lots in Rio Grande Estates back in the 60's and my mother and cousin have been paying the taxes on them since inheriting them. P Unit 6 Block 272 Lots 14 and 15 is what is on the Socorro Co tax bill, from what I can tell from maps I've found on the internet, that translates to Delores Ave, just W of Lozano St, and lot 15 is a corner. Is this a place where I could rent a Bobcat for a day and build berms all the way around for a pistol range for my private use? I figured a rented RV for amenities would work well with solar support, unless a miracle occurs and they find water nearby or actual development becomes a reality. Thinking of a couple shooting trips per year as I'm a city dweller the rest of the time.

On the generall warranty deed, is there a Section, Township and Range description? If that is contained, please DM me, and I can find my way geographically directly to that land. If it is outside of municipal limits, there will likely not be any covenants, conditions and restrictions, which means you could. Being inside the municipal limits will mean the answer is no.
I think the nearest city is Belen. Section P, Unit 6, Block 272, Lots 14 and 15 is what Socorro Lists as the legal description on the annual tax bill, I don't believe that's inside any city limits and last I heard Rio Grande Estates still had no zoning or ordinances. If you think about it, were the original real estate sales people the crooks or is it the county that's been collecting taxes all these years on scrub brush with no services?
Wouldn't the crooks...er...developers have to have it zoned residential or sumthin before they could even plat it?
