I will probably wait until October, since I can't make this Saturday!

Are you planning on going?

How's your beach searching going?

Default Busy day Saturday, don't get blown away!

We're actually going to spend most of the time at the VLA, which is open as well. Would be a busy day, with lots of traffic, but you could hit both the same day!! What a wonderful treasure to have these 2 here.

I wish I could go, but I'm stuck here, 600+ miles away. Maybe I can in October.

I see the weather forcast for Socorro tomorrow is High 63 Low 32 and partly sunny and windy so if your traveling to it check on the wind conditions before you leave as the high wind can make driving really tough.

Default Blown away today!

6'-3", yes, temperature looks great, but would hate to be hauling horses today! Here in ABQ we witnessed a huge wind devil that blew down a 7-11 sign onto a car, smashed out their rear window, caused a chain reaction wreck, smashed a plate glass window, and sailed a bunch of tables with umbrellas. The wind today is nothing to fool around with-quite an education for us flatlanders!

We skipped it this time in favor of going in October, hopefully. They will be opening a 50 year time capsule in Oct, is what I have heard.

We attended the opening weekend of the National Atomic Museum (has a new name now but I forget exactly what it is called) instead. This is my first time seeing it so I cannot compare it to the temporary home downtown nor the original site, but it was very nice. The Heritage Park is still getting set up. There is a B-52, a B-29, and some rockets out right now.

We are considering doing the VLA tour as well.
