We adopted both our dogs from the Ruidoso Humane Society.
Whiskey, yellow lab mix, this past August and Jasper the sheperd/husky mix yesterday.
I just wanted to show off a picture of them both and to say the humane society in Ruidoso rocks as far as how they take care of animals.

Hey, neat, Song! I'm glad that Ruidoso has a good one! Before I left Midland, my vet did tell me that Ruidoso has excellent veterinary care, but I didn't get a name! If I move there, I'll call them and ask which one it was!

Both my dogs went to vets in Ruidoso before being adopted.

Right On Song!!! I have never owned a dog that was not adopted from the Humane Society directly or indirectly. Our last three were adopted from a lady who worked with the shelter but had them at her house.
The one pet I did not adopt was a cockatiel that my mom had hatched from a pair she had.
The Humane Society is one of the DW's main charities.

Next time you come up, bring your dog and they can play together.

Very good looking dogs
On another note I read in a Thrifty Nickle that a shelter/vets in Espanola is giving free spay and neuters to Pitbulls this month too which is really good

Default Please tell people about the Clovis Animal Shelter

When we moved to Clovis, we were sad to find that the animal shelter here is a kill shelter. The animals are only kept for a few days before they are gassed. I paid to get two little dogs out--one for me and one for a friend.

Since we now have three dogs at our house, we won't be able to adopt any more. If you are looking for a dog and want to save a life, come to Clovis. The shelter is located at 2203 E. Brady Ave., and is open Monday through Friday (no weekends, unfortunately) from 10 AM to 4:30 PM. Fees range from $36 to $46 with a $25 refund when the animal is spayed or neutered. Their website is at City of Clovis Animal Control Shelter. Available animals are listed on Petfinder
