Safest city In New Mexico? (Albuquerque, Las Cruces: low crime, good schools, area)

What would be the safest city/area of New Mexico? I have read about high crime rates in Santa Fe and Albuquerque and poor school systerms in alot of these areas. Would Las Cruces be considered a low crime area with good schools? Any other towns to consider?
