Rio Rancho, specifically, the Northern Meadows area? We have a VERY active 4 year old and these things are great for expending his energy. He also goes to a Gymnastic Acadamy once a week for what's called "Parent's Night Out." Its constant play and running from 6 pm until we pick him up at 8:30 pm or 9:00 pm. He collapses happily in bed and is asleep in seconds. Is there anything like that either? Sorry for all the questions, but they're important to us and I find this board to be VERY helpful.

There's a community pool at Haynes Park. The park is practically across the street from Intel. If you don't know it's there, you can miss it. There is also a pool just off of Southern Boulevard, about a mile or so past Walmart on the right. You may want to check out the Rio Rancho city home page, departments and services, cultural enrichment and then to aquatics. There you can find the numbers for the two pools mentioned above. BTW, have you checked out the on-line rio rancho magazine?

Thanks for the info. I will check the online magazine. I didn't know it existed. My Mom came home with a lot of brochures and things from the area, but I didn't see a YMCA mentioned and when we looked online it appeared the closest one was a daycare facility. May be wrong on this. The YMCA close to the East Mountains looks really good!
