The Juniper are blooming and sending a lot of pollen out. Maybe the pines also.
Taking Zertec OTC for it and lots of green tea etc.

Body aches and pains..not just the ones from getting old.

What is the allergy season like for you?

Pretty bad, but no worse than West Texas, since it's not that different!

Alavert....sometimes the 24-hour one, and sometimes the D-12.

My nose runs almost constantly, at times in a debilitating (and messy) way. My eys also itch. Where I am, we have different allergens. I think the ragweed is what gets me the most.

You'll also have ragweed in southern NM. It bothers me, too, along with juniper and some others.

I don't know what I'm allergic to -- this is my first year here, and I came from New England. But I am sneezing a lot and also swear I feel foggy/dizzy at times and my eyes feel like I haven't slept in days.

The tree pollen count is very high in your area (and my area, and probably all parts of southern NM).
Here's a link to a pollen count chart, it's set for Cruces, but you can change the zip code to get your local area.

It's nasty this year.

Zyrtec works the best for me, especially if I start it early before the first of it hits. The nasal steroid spray that naport mentioned also works really well.
Hot steamy shower feels the best.

I love my Sinucleanse (can be found at Walgreens) and a boric solution eye wash. I really blink and roll my eyes around so that the solution can flush the pollen. They are both so soothing. The medications give me more problems than they help. Not much has worked except benadryl and that stuff just knocks me for a loop.

Will try the steriod nasal spray. I feel like I have the flu, body aches, joint aches etc.
Thanks for the info.

Phawk57: I agree about Benadryl. It works, but it knocks me for a loop too. It stops the runny nose, but it completely stops it up so that I either have to live with it or use nasal spray. It's a no-win situation.

I haven't tried Zyrtec yet...Claritin doesn't do anything at all for me.
