I am considering a visit to NOLA and an avid jogger. I do admit, where I live now is an affluent area and I can walk out my door and jog 10+ miles with no worries (but I still am aware of my surrounds..lol)

where can I job in New Orleans that would give me the distance, scenery and that's relatively safe?

Thanks in advance.

I would assume most joggers probably run along the river and through Audubon Park.

I'd say City Park

Lots of joggers go on the neutral ground down St. Charles Ave., in Audubon Park or City Park. I lived in the CBD and French Quarter the past two summers and would run around/through the Quarter and along the river/Moon Walk/Woldenberg Park. Otherwise, just map your route beforehand out and make sure you're sticking to generally safe areas!

The lakefront is scenic with the view of the water and the abundant activity that goes on around there(fishing, sailboating, jetskiing)...running from west end of the lakefront in new orleans to the industrial Canal/seabrook bridge area will give you roughly 5 miles of safe running.
